I’m Alex Breeden, an apparel, logo, and brand designer based in Brooklyn. I was raised in Southeast Michigan which gives me the unique ability of knowing how to pronounce words like Mackinac, Schoenherr, and Dequindre, but the unique inability to pronounce words like mirror, or garage.
I'm a lifelong Michigan State fan, and proud alum, which makes some of my favorite slightly confusing considering the fact I've designed extensively for their bitter rival, the University of Michigan. Working with U of M has given me the opportunity to create designs for one of the biggest brands in the world, adding my stamp on tradition that spans generations. I developed all of the branding for their NIL program, the Champions Circle, and have had the opportunity to create logos and apparel for their premier athletes and alumni.
I’m a consumer as much as I am a creator, which is why usability sits at the core of everything I design. I don’t just make things that look good, I create with intention and meaning. I want my apparel to be the pieces people refuse to throw away, the shirts that spark debates at home because they’ve been worn to pieces. I want my logos to outlive careers, carried forward like family heirlooms. I care deeply about creating work that resonates and endures.
If my work has resonated with you at all please get in touch, I'd love to work together.
